Michael is co-owner of Sarah Graham Metalsmithing. He manages production, including making jewelry and casting. He works really long hours so that he can take time off to go skiing, hiking or rafting, depending on the season.
Denise spent many years as the accountant for a private K-12th grade school before coming to work full time for Sarah Graham Metalsmithing in the summer of 2003. Denise manages the entire business, including all accounting, legal and administrative responsibilities. She is also in charge of customer service and is great at helping our customers choose the best jewelry for their stores or themselves. Her greatest job, though is managing (and putting up with) Sarah Graham.
Rose is a second generation jeweler who grew up in Seattle, Washington. Exposed to jewelry making from a very young age by her father, a master jeweler, Rose had a variety of jobs in the industry before earning her Jewelry Technician Certificate from The Revere Academy. Rose joined us in the summer of 2008, and was promoted to studio manager early in 2011. She now is responsible for coordinating production with the office manager, and overseeing the bench jewelers to ensure a steady and on time work flow.
Elia has her Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from Indiana University, and puts or organizational skills to good use by keeping our production on schedule, our inventory in line and our staff on track. She came to us in the spring of 2011 after working as an archivist at both Chabot Space and Science Center and The Bancroft Library at UC Berkeley. And last but not least, she just celebrated her one year wedding anniversary with Stefon, our IT manager!
Truc, originally from Vietnam, spent all of his 16 years in the United States working for Sierra Pacific Casting as a bench jeweler before coming to work for us late in 2010. He has a broad skill set, including just about every aspect of the jewelry making process, and is particularly good at cutting complex molds. He is also the quickest jeweler in the studio - both at making jewelry and learning new designs and techniques.
Dale grew up in his family's jewelry store in Kansas, and has been in the industry all his life. He has worked for numerous companies as a custom design bench jeweler, and shares with us his exceptional wax carving and model making skills. He is responsible for all our wax work, both custom and new designs, and manages our casting department.
Stefon has a degree in Optical Engineering from UC Davis. He will be starting a master's degree program in the fall in engineering. He has worked for Sarah Graham Metalsmithing part time since May of 2006, where he manages our technology and photography, and makes jewelry. He has spent many years as a river rafting guide and is an avid skier, and when Michael takes time off, we usually lose Stefon, too.
