Hex

Nature Loves Hexagons!

From honeycomb to snowflakes and the tiling patterns found on fruit skins, the hexagon abounds in the natural world. It’s all down to efficiency, utility and an occasional ability to form almost inadvertently. The hexagon is symmetrical, simple and enjoys the rare skill of allowing itself to tessellate (tile).

And  need I mention it's beauty? It's a lovely shape, whether in even proportions or elongated, and it is so easy to design around, as it fits so perfectly together.

But this is no surprise, and this is why I always come back to nature when I design - the hard work as already done, I just need to come up with interesting ways to make it wearable, render it in gold and cobalt chrome, and add some diamonds!
