Gloss

I almost always texture my gold - hammered, textured, worked until it breaks the light. So letting it stay high-polished this time felt foreign to me. But gold is having its moment (and its price!), and I wanted to make something that simply lets it be what it is: bright, warm, and a touch show-off. The Gloss collection pairs high-polish 18k gold with my signature oxidized cobalt chrome - that deep matte black no other metal will give you - so all that shine has something raw to play against. The necklace alternates slim glossed gold batons with hand-textured black tubes, link by link; in another version, a single oval diamond rests at the center, bezeled in black. The cuff bracelet does the same trick with a clean sweep of polished gold tapering to one oval diamond. Bright against dark, polished against raw. It's the most unapologetic gold I've ever made.
